It deserves negative stars. Scroll down the page and read the reviews that haven't been recommended also. Awful! Held a banquet here and it was a disaster! None of the staff seemed to know 35 people were coming. The room wasn't set up 20 mins before so I was moving tables myself. Buffet food came out one dish at a time over the course of an hour after being 45 mins late. Chicken wings were fried in old oil, the potatoes had a layer of salt on them which made them inedible to me, we never even received two of the dishes were were supposed to get and the pizzas were loaded with sodium to the point that 16 teenage boys didn't like the food. The owner seemed like he couldn't care less and seemed annoyed that we were upset that the food wasn't coming out. We were like squirrels foraging for rotten food. Their attempt to make up for it was a measly $100 off the nearly $1,000 bill which we found unacceptable and decided we'd pay them less and frankly, shouldn't have paid them a dime! I will not step foot in this place again not even for a drink under the current ownership and management! Such a shame. A great location and they will drive business into the ground in no time.

Eew!! A bar that can not make hamburger that remotely tastes like hamburger is dreadful. I didn't want to challenge the chef (ha!) so I went with something simple. Burger was so over-seasoned, I could't tell what I was eating. Wait staff are easy to work with, drinks were good. Large bar and the view is impressive. Just go there to drink and watch the games. Place needs some paint and a rehab. The clock is ticking. Wifi didn't work either.

You just can't beat the view and bayside! Is the food amazing? No. But it's pretty darn good! Well worth it to get to sit on the lake and feel like you are in vacation. The happy hour drink specials are GREAT and I'm a big fan of their pizza. If you are a salad person the salads look really good too. This is a perfect place to go with kids or for a girls night out. My biggest complaint is that the inside is not that great. The decor is dark and outdated and when the have bands play the music is WAY too loud!!! But we usually sit out on the lake, which is heavenly, so the inside doesn't matter as much. If the owners out some bucks into renovating the inside they would have a perfect ten on their hands.

Went at 8:30 on a Saturday and after they finished playing with the volume they were so loud we couldn't hear the people next to us at our table. The waitstaff was unnattentive and the food was subpar at best. I will not be returning.

I have been to Bayside many time and had average food and service but on Sunday July 5 will be my last time. Service was poor, had to get up to get our own silverware and then when the food came had to get my own condiments. When I confronted the manager, Greg Gaffe, to let him know of the issues he said "did you get your food? Did you eat it? And the answer to both was yes but I have been in the food business for over 30 years and never have been treated like this. Without the view this place would close in one month because the food is so basic even with the new menu! If I could give 1/2 star I would

I have been here about ten times. The food here is just not very good. The burgers are clearly frozen patties. The onion straws are a pile of mush. The pizza is tasteless. It just isn't a very good restaurant. The fajitas are somewhat OK, but not that great. The service has always been decent enough, the beer is cold, and there is a nice view. But man. It just isn't worth the hassle for the food. For a night out drinking with guys? Fine.

My chicken Marsala came with wayy too much chicken and sauce, and the sauce was TERRIBLE! The whole meal tasted awful and it was overpriced. Not impressed with the new menu or prices. Change the sauce, lower it to just one ginormous chicken breast, and lower the price. Also no selection of healthy meals, pretty sure that was the best option, and I still felt sick afterwards (what in the world is in your pool of horrid sauce???!) for those prices you've gotta step your gourmet game up and use fresher stuff.

I think the 3 star rating that I found for this place on yelp is exactly point on. Great views. Good beer prices and mediocre food.

Bayside has a prime location, good atmosphere, and friendly waitstaff. Bayside also has an identity crisis. They used to have a huge menu with too many items and recently scaled it back. Based on the newer menu it would appear they want to be more of a nice restaurant than a bar. It's like they want to be your go-to surf-and-turf place (and the prices for the food match that claim) but they don't deliver on taste. The waitstaff also dresses more like a sports bar than a fine restaurant and the last time I went they took away the loaf of bread they used to give you with a meal and don't offer soup or salad with entrees. On the flip-side the "bar food" they have is actually pretty good; most people really like the pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers. I think they need to figure out who they want to be and what they do best and just stick with it. If you're looking for excellent seafood or nicer entrees I'd go somewhere else. If you want to have a wonderful view, enjoy time with your friends, have a pizza or burger, or enjoy a band and have some drinks, this is a great place to go.

This place just kills me. I can see it from my bedroom window (so location is amazing for me), the food is good enough (though they have no idea what a Cesar salad is, they do have many menu items that are quite addicting), and they're on a lake (which is a hard venue to find downstate)... yet the customer service is just atrocious. I tried to ignore it for a long time, but I just had to stop going there. So I went to using their free delivery service which made everything great again, I'd order delivery from them every week for a year a least... until they decided they didn't want to deliver anymore. So now I haven't eaten there in about a year, but I always think about the menu... and almost go... but I don't. And now here I am venting that frustration on Yelp. First world problems right.

You guys better get it together or you will be out of business. What a mess! Poor waitstaff has to suffer in your demise.

Gets 2 stars for location, and bar/music, etc. The kitchen is really ridiculous lately. Called in for a carryout medium pizza, was told 15 minutes, but it was still not ready after 45 mins. Basically can't go here for food anymore when there are more than 5 tables seated. Get someone new to run the kitchen!

  • Pam T.

The first thing the new owners did was fire the chef and sous chef. They didn't want to pay them their existing salary. Big mistake. The food now is horrible, straight out of Gordon's Food. The new owners couldn't care less about the food quality or its customers. Will never go back!

Food is pretty good. Lots to pick from. Good entertainment. The outside seating is beautiful, as long as there aren't too many bugs. Unfortunately, service is not so good. I does get very busy in the summer because the patio is on the lake, but more often than not, we're doing a lot of waiting. I usually go there more for a beautiful place to hang out with friends in the summer.

Short and sweet, the food has always been great, the service is downright terrible.

  • Gabriel C.

The food is outstanding and the service is great!!! Every time we have eaten here the food was amazing. If you are looking for a place close to everything in the metro area and you just want a drink or an appetizer, this is the place to go. The view is great as it sits directly at the waters edge of Walled Lake and is directly adjacent to Mercer Beach. After your visit, you can easily walk to nearby shops or just sit at the Beach The restaurant is easily reachable from either M5, I 96 and Pontiac Trail in Walled Lake

As most all the reviews have said: great location. No question about it The view of the deck across the lake is impressive. Here with a big group of friends for a birthday party, so the plan was to stay quite awhile...have some drinks, enjoy dinner then listen to the band as they fired up at 10pm. Waited for a table out on the deck which took awhile, but was worth it. The food runs the gamut from Buffalo wings to seafood and steaks with everything else in between. It's a big menu. Eating on the lighter side of things, I went for the Cobb Salad and some Onion Soup. The Onion Soup was underwhelming. A smallish cup with way too much cheese and not much soup. The salad on the other hand was excellent. Fresh looking and tasting greens; plenty of egg, smoked bacon avocado, ripe tomato and just the right amount of mild crumbled blue cheese. Others in the group had fish and chips (which I tried and were pretty good) and the grilled scallops. After dinner, the place fired up for some live music. A good cover band played quite well ironically named "The Under Cover Band". Great music until well past 1am. I'll be back.

This place is great for the view and the atmosphere, but the food was pretty horrible. I didn't taste one thing I liked. Their booty short outfits made me Lose my appetite too. I would recommend this place only for the view. Don't expect much more than that.

Good food. Pizza is good (happy hour on Mondays). Not so clean and really busy during summer!

This restaurant has a great view of walled lake with a very large outdoor patio seating area. I was impressed with the excellent beer selection on tap and live music playing on a weeknight. However, the food is very subpar and is slightly below what you would expect for an average sports bar. The view is great and is a good place to visit with friends but if you're looking to have more than a couple beers I'd look elsewhere.

Great view of Walled Lake! Happy hour 12-5 p.m. weekdays...really where else can you get a 22 oz. Summer Shandy for $2.75 at happy hour? I went to this place EXPECTING bad service b/c of the reviews...although let's face it it's convenient and it's nice to have food & drinks by the water. Well our server was great, friendly, and attentive...so no complaints there. The food is good, has that bar/grille effect.

Wanted to eat by the water and have something different. We found it! Had a great lunch at Bayside today! Even saw a swan family while overlooking Walled Lake as we sat outside under the covered area in back. Umbrella tables too overlooking the dock. Perfect! Food was great! Menu is quite big and we settled on a couple [huge] wrap sandwiches which were some of the best we've ever had. Lots of choices too. Great Kettle chips too, better than at some more upscale restaurants. Prices were reasonable too. Not a fancy spot and I am sure it jumps on the weekend. Peeked at salads and food at the next table and they looked good and portions are generous. We'll go back for sure. Great place for lunch. No clue about dinner time, but I bet this place jumps when the sun goes down. We'll be back!

Well I give two stars since the lights were on and we did get a drink or two. My poor review is based on the lack of service and mis-education of the servers. We came to the establishment at a late hour, I do admit, (10pm) but yet recognized that many people enjoying themselves and being delivered food. We were told by our server that the kitchen was closed. However, the issue I have is that my party noticed other tables being served food literally 45 minutes later. Wow, that really bugged us since we gave the establishment 2 more beers a-person-worth-a-tab. Did we need to know the owner?

I have never received terrible service until I came here. My family went here for lunch yesterday at 1pm. Table of 5. The server was grouchy and not speaking loud enough for anyone to hear. We received our drinks after 10 minutes of ordering them. I had asked for lemons to go with my water, those were forgotten and we had to remind the server when he came back to drop off pop; separately from the waters. We ordered food about 20 minutes after we got there. The server did not know what a few of the sandwiches were and didn't bother finding out. One family member ordered a salad and received that 5 minutes after ordering and 20 minutes before everyone else received their food. When the rest of us did receive their food it was cold and the buns for burgers were soggy. When the server came to check up on us,we told him everything was cold and we were unhappy. He said he would get the manager but we had already asked for the manager from a different server. We spoke with the manager and left. Needless to say, never going back.

So since my original review BSG has fixed the service issue. We have been there several times and have not had a problem. The food is excellent; at least a cut above normal bar fare. The happy hour has fantastic prices and the draft beer list is extensive. They definitely turned this place around and it is one of our favorite places to dine on the water.

Definitely a GREAT spot to check out in the summer time. The deck was awesome. We sat, enjoyed tall beers, food, and all of the boat traffic coming in from a long day on the lake. The food was thoroughly average, but a chef friend of mine once told me that the better the view, the less pressure to have awesome food. Being that we live in Ann Arbor which is a lake-less town, we were there for the views, and they did not disappoint. My friends say that their late-night scene is fun, but we haven't been back for that yet!

Management is in desperate need of some guidance. The only thing working for this place is the location on the lake. Aside from the view, it is a sad dining experience.

I've lived in Walled Lake my whole life and my boyfriend and I decided to give bayside a try for the first time today. It was honestly such a stressful trip for us. The hosts are literally clueless. We were one of five tables to be sat within 5 minutes in our waiters section, meaning he had 5 tables with menus at once. I never saw a manager or another server getting drink orders for him or anything and I felt so bad. We almost got up and left. No server should have to go through that. The food was good but not worth it. Jeff was great but I'd be quitting if I were him. Oh and fire the damn hosts.

Decor could use a do over with it's dated sports boating look. Sitting by the lake vastly improve the atmosphere. I've had the food twice here. First time takeout then dine in. Ordered steak both times, but will concentrate this review on the dine in experience. Served slightly overcooked to what I ordered. The veg of the day was green beans and they were fresh and delicious. The starch was glue-y mashed potatoes that I pretty much left untouched... which is usually not something I would do with a potato side. I would recommend this place for sitting by the lake while enjoying a drink... not so much for the food.

  • Angel D.

Service was very slow, no acknowledgements after being seated. Waitress looked like she just had a meal with crumbs all over her shirt, and also had a hole under her sleeve. Good was great! I will say that but the service each time I came was not fair.

  • Joe R.

I had the mac and cheese while my wife had the cheese tortellini with chicken. The tortellini was ok, but the mac and cheese tasted like box style powder cheese sauce with too much butter added. Ok tap list; had Griffin Claw Norm's on tap. I have to agree with other yelpers... it seems like they rest on the laurels of its location on the water. Food should be better and the building itself needs some work. Also service was ok to poor. First drink refill was after we finished our meal and the place wasn't slammed.

Inside Bayside is a large sports bay. They have plenty of TVs and a good variety of beers. The back of the restaurant has a large, enclosed patio that directly overlooks the lake. We sat on the patio early in the summer and it was a bit warm and stuffy. The menu is huge, a bit overwhelmingly so. The food is not amazing. I sometimes wonder when the food is just okay and the menu is huge that this is a result of too may items. There is no focus and things are rushed to get meals out quickly. The Bayside fries were definitely the best thing that we had. Steak fries tossed with hot sauce, bacon, scallion and melted cheese. I would have been happy with just this and a few drinks. Since we had the fries with the appetizer I ordered mashed potatoes as a side. They were terrible. They were also shaped (by a mold?) which I find odd and unappetizing. I recommend sticking to simple, typical bar items as this seems to be what they are able to handle best. We had a large party and while this does make it more difficult for the server, to the extent we had service issues it does not cover it. The server forgot items of our meal and while it is good to have our meal come out quickly, I like to have at least some time with the appetizer first. I'm not sure what happened to our server after the meal came out but he simply disappeared. In the end the manager came over and ended up making sure we got what we needed as well as free drinks, which we appreciated.

The only good thing about this place was the view and we didn't even get to see it. It would have been an hour and a half wait for the patio or be seated immediately and we were hungry. Our waitress was not attentive at all (she came by for our orders, to give our food and then our bill) and messed up our order. It was so busy though we knew we would wait forever to have it fixed so we dealt with it. The food was ok..i actually loved the turkey ruben but my fiance's food was dry and the fries were cold and not what she asked for. We went during happy hour so the drinks were half off which was nice but I dont think we will be back for food. Maybe just a beer during a non busy time. Also, it was really loud. Bummer because i was excited about this place!

There might not be a better spot in Oakland County to enjoy a summer evening. Since my original review, I've been to Bayside numerous times and have never had a less than good experience. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that the service efficiency is still spotty.

    (4)
  • Michael R.

Dont get the ribs unless you want beef jerky covered in bbq sauce.

  • James B.

Something happened in the kitchen. The food quality has diminshed substantially since my initial review. The lastcouple of entress I've had at Bayside were completely unacceptable. A prime rib dinner was 50% white fat, the meat not seasoned and tasteless. Chicken parmesan tonight was inedible - overcooked and rubbery, it was sent back. For dessert, whipped cream was served as a liquid mess atop a brownie. The service has taken a hit too, especially at the huge bar, where most congregate mid-week. On this Wednesday night they had just one server behind the bar tending 30+ patrons while also serving the table staff's orders. Until the management recognizes these problems, I'd say avoid entrees more complicated than pizza amd burgers.

I was super disappointed on this trip to Bayside. My fiances parents were in town to visit over the summer, we wanted to show them a good time, so we came to watch the sun set over Walled Lake over dinner. We ordered some appetizers: Shrimp Cocktail- Awful excuse for a shrimp cocktail. At $8.95 you get 5 shrimp the size of your pinky. Pretty sure they advertise this as the $1 shrimp cocktail in Vegas. Bayside fries- Delicious!! Steak fries tossed in Franks Red Hot, with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, and scallions on top with a side of sour cream. I should have just got another plate of these and called it a night. I decided to take advantage of their extensive dinner menu and ordered the roasted chicken. Awful. Very dry and flavorless. In fact the only flavor I got from this chicken was an odd aftertaste. I couldn't put my finger on it, but the chicken had a weird bleach/ cleaning taste to it. No I haven't consumed any cleaning products before but that's what it reminded me of. Perhaps they brine it in a pre-made brine mix out of a bag?? Whatever it was... it hurt the flavor of the chicken. The chicken was served with over-steamed vegetables and luke warm garlic smashed potatoes. YAWN..... I will say that my boyfriend and his parents enjoyed their sandwiches they ordered for dinner. I think if we come here again, I'll stick to the sandwiches/ appetizers and the booze.

I live close by and come here often during good weather. Here's the good...great ambiance with water, outside seating and bands. Food is ok. My wife and I usually have appetizers only as they are good. Service is HORRIBLE! Funny thing is the owners know but don't seem to care. It seems like a training issue. It's not unusual to see 4 or 5 waitpersons chatting away in the station between the bar and restrooms while you're waiting for your meal or drink. Come for the ambience, don't expect much from the service.

Had lunch recently first time since last summer. I was disappointed to learn that the menu had changed. They no longer offer lunch portions of the whitefish. While service has improved, they lost my interest with a mediocre salad and the menu changes.

  • Laura N.

Bad food, bad service. Great beer selection, decent TV's, on the lake. I'm giving it 2 stars because its the only place on the lake to get food.

    (2)
  • Nikki M.

Great beer selection, always a plus to see Oberon on tap! Service was good, only thing was they split the bills up and put the gratuity on...I didnt think theyd do that if all 8 of us were on separate checks, just a heads up. Everyone got different food from pizza to burgers to seafood to chicken marsala and everyone enjoyed what they got. I got the pizza and it was delicious and priced perfectly! right before we left the band started playing, it was a little loud but they were good and added to the atmosphere in a positive way. All in all a great place to grab food, a drink or people watch while enjoying the nice views of the lake :)

Bayside is lucky because they have such a great location and outdoor patio on Walled Lake, but there is definitely room for improvement. I have never had a great experience with the servers, i would say overall average service. When I was there last week I sat outside on the patio with my dad and a few friends and we had two waitresses, one was training. The weird thing was the girl that was getting trained knew the drink specials and did a way better job than the other one. I was getting confused who was training who?! The bugs were also awful this night, like little swarms of tiny black bugs all over the place. They had no torches lit and we asked if they had any candles and they said no. I was really surprised that they had no interest in making their customers be more comfortable, i mean you're on a lake, you need something to help with bugs! The food here is very good though, they have ceviche (seasonally) which is hard for me to find so I get that when it's available. They have really good salads and fish dishes too. They have a huge menu so there it something for everyone. A lot of families come here for dinner as well. They have live bands play on the inside as well which can be really fun, haven't been there in a while when a band is playing but I always had a good time, and they have a good dance floor if it isn't too crowded. This is a place that I will probably be back at in the summer and sit outside, but they need to work on the bug situation and get some better service.

I really really want to like this place. It is close to home, has an extensive menu, and the restaurant location, scenery and patio options are beautiful. Yet every time we go, the service simply sucks. We have been there three times over the last 18 months or so. We always have to wait for service. We are not big fans of crowds or waiting, so we try and go at less busy times, yet the wait staff is too busy socializing with each other, stumbling over each other and texting in the bathroom. The food is hit or miss. Some things are good and some are mediocre. The portion sizes on appetizers and side dishes are tiny. $4 for a small plate of fries? I don't mind paying a little more then usual if the ambiance and service are good, but they miss here. I got a burger. It was quite good, as was my husband's chicken sandwich. The pizza was above average, but nothing special. We have had fish there that was ok too - depending on the type. Bayside must be doing something right, because they are rocking busy on the weekends, and have a full parking lot much of the time. The definitely seem to have a loyal clientele. They also help the community with charitable fundraisers, which always wins a gold star in my book. Kudos for this! Again - I really want to like this place. I'm sad our experiences have been so mediocre.

My husband and I are regulars here. It's close to our home and the view on the outdoor and indoor patios can't be beat! The menu is huge, the food, eh, ok. They have some pretty good drink specials. Plenty of TV's to watch a game. The service from the hostess's and the wait staff varies. Most of the time they are tolerable. Bayside is our go to place when friends come to visit because of its location and view.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had dinner here for a friend's birthday on Wednesday night (3/21) and the food, service, and overall atmosphere were lacking! Our server (Eric) was slow, didn't have answers to questions about menu selections, and when I asked what kinds of beer they had on tap he said "Oh, lots"... I got the impression that he was more interested in quickly taking our orders, and moving on to the next table, instead of trying to make us feel like valued customers. All four of the diners in our group are professionals in our 30s - we know how to be polite and are not overly demanding. There is no need to rush us. Especially since we waited a long time to receive menus, a long time to get our drinks, and a long time to get our food. When he brought our water to us before our alcoholic drinks, he served mine in a dirty glass that had a piece of lettuce floating in it. When he brought my boyfriend's wine to him, it had lipstick stains on the rim - its one thing to have slow service, but serving food in dirty dishes is unsanitary! I understand that servers can have off nights (I was a waitress for a few years) and it happens. But when you don't see lipstick on a wine glass and serve it to someone - that is just laziness. My salad that I ordered with our appetizer was never brought to me (although two others at our table did get theirs), and my entree (chicken tenders appetizer) was okay tasting, nothing special. Because it was my friend's birthday we asked if they did anything special, and Eric said "no, we don't do anything for birthdays", until a minute later when he said "Oh, you can have a free sundae for dessert". We ordered the sundae, waited twenty more minutes - and finally just asked for our checks so we could get out of there and go somewhere with decent service! There are just too many restaurants and bars to choose from for a place like this to get away with such poor service. After we left we headed to The Post in Novi where the waitress was friendly, efficient, and we had a great time.

Bayside is fun, located right on walled lake. The people that frequent the place are strange ones, but the food is amazing and the service is awesome. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Great deck to sit out on in the summer, food is reasonably-priced, pretty decent beer selection, service is spotty at best. Atmosphere is pretty much what you would expect of a place that calls itself a "Sports Grille" : TONS of tv's, a random mix of mostly Top 40 overhead music, lots of Jaegermeister and Beer Advertisments all over, a noise level louder than most restaurants. Not a bad place to grab dinner or a snack after a day of fun in the sun, but not a 'destination' dining experience for me by any means-- of course, I'm not a loud sports bar kind of girl, so take that into account with this review.

  • Dave D.

Service varies from OK to just horrible. What a shame. Great view and tasty food. Close to where we live too. My wife loves the place for the setting but the service - just brutal sometimes. On their busiest nights, they will have a couple of completely clueless young bimbos at the front desk. Too many of the servers appear to be 16 years old and have no idea what they are doing. This could be a great place.

Went Saturday July 3rd, it was a beautiful day and got right in at around 6:30pm. They're were plenty of diners on the deck with a 45 minute wait, but the inside area had no waiting. I had the Chicken Siciliano (recommendation by the waiter...thanks for that), and friends I am telling you this was excellent. It is served with a zip sauce that gave it the right amount of heat. The chicken along with a nice 22 oz cherry wheat beer at half off before 7 pm (ok 2 of em...trying to take advantage of the price), really hit the spot...and was plenty filling even for a bigger appetite. They have a band on the weekends, but we left before they went on, but they have a dedicated part of the bar for the entertainment. I was pretty disappointed at how long it took the server to a) take our drink orders, and b) bring our first round of beverages. I know he was busy with a big party, but that really should not be my problem...after all it is the first few moments at a restaurant, that can really set the tone. After it got going though, everything was good and smooth flowing. All in all, the ambiance was nice, the food was really good, and the prices were good. Our bill for the two sandwiches and beverages was under 25 bucks, and we both left full. I will go back again, except a little later so we can parlay the evening into a great night out with live entertainment!

One of my favorite places to go for dinner and drinks! I love sitting on the patio and could probably do that every night in the summer. The food is good and they have bands on the weekends a lot. Great beer selection. We also had our rehearsal dinner here in their back room and then the partied all night after. Great place to hold an event!

The first time I went here I thought for sure that the horrible service was a fluke. So I went again. Then again. And yet again. Each time, the service flat out sucked. The food was fine (not great, not horrible...just fine). I would never go back here if they didn't have a deck on the lake. It's the only place around Walled Lake where you can sit on the water and have a drink, so by default, they win. The deck is a great place to sit and enjoy the evening...just think of the horrible service and the so-so food as the price you pay to feel like you're up north for an evening.

I want to like this place for the view and atmosphere, but it is headed down hill. Tap beer was stale and burger meat had gristle and bad taste. How do you do tap beer and a burger wrong. Pick it up management.

Quite good food. Love the Antipasto Salad. Good steak, too. Reasonably priced. Love the spot on the lake. Wait staff was very helpful. However, the ambiance is terrible. Not a date spot. There's no logical way to carry on a meaningful conversation without screaming. If you're fine with a screaming date, then this place is for you! Parking is decent when the place isn't crowded, but otherwise is nightmarish.

Totally worth it. Food is always awesome. Service not always but most days, yes. My favorite is the quesadillas.

Bayside is lucky that they have great food and an amazing location, because everything else about this place really needs to be overhauled. My wife and I wanted to have our going away party at Bayside because they have such a beautiful spot on Walled Lake. I knew we would have between 45 and 55 people so I wanted to call at least two weeks ahead to see if they could accommodate such a large party. It took over 16 phone calls before I could finally get the manager "Todd" to call me back. Every time I called, I was promised I would receive a call back and it never came. After a lot of resilience he finally was able to confirm that our group could have the banquet room until 2am and we could each have separate checks. When we arrived, the waitress seemed nothing but irritated that she had to work with such a large group. She was yelling at one of my sister in laws because there was NOOO way she was going to be able to do separate checks. I explained that each group was going to be sitting at separate tables in the room and she could just bill each table together (problem solved right?). She still seemed annoyed with us the entire night anyway. After that she was so pissed that she absolutely refused to let anyone order anything until everyone was seated properly. Even when my wife tried to order a grilled cheese for my toddler she had to pretty much beg.... After the ridiculously slow service to get our food and after being yelled at for going to the bar ourselves to get our own drinks, we finished up dinner. The same waitress approached me at about 9:50p and said "you know you guys have to be out of here at 10, right!?". To which I replied, that's not all what I was told. She told me they have another "event" booked. The other event was Beer Pong..... Long story short, the food and view at Bayside is fantastic, but the staff must really be treated poorly because every single waitress and bartender seemed so upset to be there...

Four Stars by combining view and food. You'll have a good time if you go to take advantage of the Sports watching or the Walled Lake view. Really cool open and covered decks(covered deck has removable windows they install for cooler weather). I've always had good food with rare waits for tables, because the place is good sized.

Revised 2/23/11 Okay, we have been going there alot lately....we love the deck in the winter, if you want to feel like you are in Florida and get the sun to cook you and feel the heat permeate into your bones...this is the place to sit and enjoy your meal....the food here is excellent, the lunch is wonderful for the price....I love the Grilled chicken lunch....very yummy......this is a wonderful lakeside eatery..... My previous review Okay, I have been there 3 times in the past month, let me say Dinner is packed, and the Deck is the best place to sit. Lunch is less expensive than dinner, they do have a $35 24 oz. Steak on the menu.....I recommend the appetizer Beer Battered Chicken fingers, ask for the Honey Mustard Sauce to go with them. The Reuben was a hit with my fellow diners. It is loud in here. The Thursday Night band "The Killer Flamingo's" Is said to be a great band. This is a fun, summer place.

We went to Bayside for lunch with a $20 pre-purchased meal voucher. It was just after 1:00 and about a dozen tables were seated. There were 2 waitresses working and the service from our waitress was far below average. The two of us had already been seated for close to 5 minutes when she arrived, stated that it was a busy afternoon, and took our drink order. When she returned with the drinks, we were ready to order, but instead she said that she would come back. She returned more then 5 minutes later. Kitchen staff brought us our food. She had placed my companion's Tropical Coconut Chicken order as a dinner size instead of lunch, and it was missing its sauce and it was bitter tasting. My companion wanted to return it and order something else, but she was nowhere to be found to get the order corrected or replaced. She never returned until the end of our meal when she asked if we wanted beverage refills and then noticed that other then one bite, the Tropical Chicken dinner wasn't eaten. By this time, we had just finished speaking to the manager about the dish. He offered to let us order something else or take the meal off of the bill. I was already finished with my meal and we were not going to sit around waiting any longer, and because we needed to use the entire amount of our voucher, we had the meal packed. At home, I made up an apricot sauce for the chicken, which helped to change the bitter, non-coconut flavor. The Tropical Coconut Chicken was moist and it had the chunks of mango, but as mentioned, the honey sauce was missing (again, no waitress to tell) and the taste was bitter. It had no coconut flavor, at all. My order of Sweet and Spicy Chicken was a bit too sweet and had absolutely no spicy heat. A touch of lime juice to cut down on the sweetness level, along with a touch of cayenne pepper, would have nudged this dish to the top of our "yummy" list. As for their green beans, they were cooked just right and still had a nice crispness to them, but they had no level of flavors - they just tasted like green beans that were in need of at least a pinch of salt. And added bonus would be to put a bit of grated orange peel or marmalade in them to keep with the tropical theme of the dish. The ginger rice was delightful. It was tender yet still firm, and the level of ginger was just right. I'm sure that Bayside has some wonderful food choices, but because of the lack of flavors in our dishes, as well as the lack of service, we may never give these other meals a chance.

Amongst other previous problems, today was the last time I set foot in that restaurant! They kept me waiting for 30 minutes ...and all i wanted was a gift card! Sure the patio may be nice, but the restaurant is VERY smokey, and the service is BAD! It's like they dont care about the patrons. NEVER going in there again!

Been here a couple times for dinner with coworkers. Food is good, service is decent. All and all a good place for drinks and a simple dinner. My only complaint is that on our last visit it was hot as hell inside (even though it was 20*F outside) and the dueling pianos were obnoxiously loud - loud enough to clear the room.

Decent sandwiches and food, really beautiful view if you sit outside. I imagine that it would get very packed on a nice summer day. Nothing that strikes me as particularly spectacular, but I would recommend it for a nice lunch!

Maybe it's to soon to give four stars, I've only been here once, I was a little surprised how nice it was here and the people weren't to obnoxious either, this has to be the only place to hear live music in 15 mile radius which pleased me, the Novi / Wallled Lake area is almost a dead zone for anyone that want to hear a real band play. The Patio is great too, with a full service bar outside to boot. I'll have to come back again to get a true feel of this place but the one night i was there I can say I had a nice time.

Not from Walled Lake, but went here to eat a couple times and the food was great!!!! Service was great. One thing they do hire is attractive waitresses, so that is a plus for them. The patio was great on 4th of July to just sit with the family and take in a great meal and scenery. I also went there for a night out when 95.5 was there and it was bumping. With the location, a Friday night out is exhilarating. I think it is a great place for lunch more than dinner, but better for a night out. The dance floor is great for a Friday night and it isn't a dive bar. But it isn't the place you will be finding 40yr olds having a night out gathering. It is an area that during the summer it will be 21-30 yr old's having a night out

They have the best patio on the west side that I have seen. Huge, and overlooking the lake, plenty of sun. Excellent beer special before 7 - half off. My husband got two pints of stella for $4.50 or something. On Sunday they have a $5 large pizza special. The pizza was good -- nothing to write home about, but wonderful on a sunny day to sit outside have a couple beers and a cheap pizza. There is a beach right next door too. I would go back for sure. We also had a chicken quesadilla that was pretty good.

I came here for dinner with some friends on a Friday night. The food is pretty standard bar fare - burgers, pizza, an assortment of fried stuff, etc. The portions are HUGE and prices are low so it makes for a good low key spot. I was kind of disappointed in the bar section of Bayside. They had a good cover band playing and maybe about 5 or 6 people in attendance at 11pm on a Friday. I guess maybe the place would be busier in the summer since it's right on the lake.

Absolutely the worst service I have had in my life!! Should have listened to the hammered guy that was coming out of there saying this place is messed up (I wish we would have turned around) walked in to wasted people by people I mean 5 Grinding on each other I thought this was a nice place on the water, only during lunch and diner I guess? Anyway it took 15 min to get a drink with 3 bartenders on and maybe 15 people at the bar, we had that drink and moved to the other side of the bar because the dj was so loud we could not hear each other and waited another 15 min trying to flag down one of the 3 bartenders to get a drink finally a guy sitting at the bar got her attention and she had a huge attitude about getting us our second drink of the night and that was all we got because when we finished that we sat for another 15 min while they cleaned and occasionally glanced at our empty drinks. Never again!!!

Sports bar formerly known as the Boat House right on Walled Lake. I had the chicken wings and they were good, partially breaded and very wet with tasty sauce. The TV setups were not that good in my opinion as there was one huge projection screen and a bunch of small TV's instead of a bunch of 42" versions like most sports bars. They had a live band that played Friday night, but the main problem was that it was way too smoky for me.. I left smelling like an ashtray.

Went for lunch on a weekday. The location is great and the sunroom offers a delightful view of the lake. It is a bit hot on a sunny day but worth the view. I had a 1/2 lb hamburger I could barely eat. Not only was it large but just not very good. I think the patty was made by machine and so the meat was packed together too tightly. Fires were ok but not hot. Tomato basil soup was too think and not hot enough but ok. Abby's Rueben sandwich was mediocre and she left the second half rather than taking it home. The bill with tip was over $30, too much for what we ate... unless it had been good. It is a bit better than when it was a biker bar though!

Wow has this place gone down hill! Came here last summer and it was pretty good. Now I've come here twice in the past two weeks and it's gone gone bad to terrible! Service was slow both times but the second time we actually had to hunt down our server on several occasions. The food was almost as bad: fatty steak on the fajitas, cold pizza, chewy chicken, etc. As someone who has worked 15 years in this industry I am usually pretty understanding but this was just bad all-around. I did learn that it's now under new ownership so perhaps that's to explain the bad experiences, but either way, we won't return.

This place has the potential to be SO much more! The location doesn't get any better then this place, they are right on the water (Walled Lake). When this place first opened is was packed every single night, the inside was new and clean, and service was great. Fast forward a few years, this place is a dump. On Friday's and Saturday's they have a band that plays so incredibly loud there is no way you can have a conversation with someone who is sitting right next to you. I know the servers and management must get complaints, you just look around and see the disgust on everyones faces. Right before the band starts, I usually leave. The bar is fairly large and should have two bartenders at all times but they never do. There have been times where I have waited ten minutes to even get the bartenders attention, they usually don't pay attention to women. Almost every time I am there one beer tap is out. I went here on my 22nd birthday and while sitting at a booth bug were crawling around the window (on the inside) and on the table, which is why I won't eat here anymore. They do have a beautiful four seasons room that looks right over the water but the serenity is usually lost with a beer pong tournament going on. In the summer people can pull their boats up to the docks (I think there are three) right next to the restaurant. But the same people usually sit there all day and even get food delivered to them so no one else can pull up. Overall, this is just another stopping place in the good ol town of Walled Lake.

If I would give this place no stars, I would. Awful. DO NOT EAT HERE! The smell coming out of the kitchen makes me sick. It is clear that they do not do a good job cleaning that kitchen. The bathrooms are always filthy. The only good nice thing about this place is the patio, unfortunately, you will sit there are a minimum of 10 minutes before someone greets you and another 10 minutes to get a drink. You can't even get service at the bar. So sad because it's in such a prime location. My suggestion, go there for drinks only, but be prepared to wait!

I went to Bayside to celebrate a friends 30th birthday party, their was only about 5 of us but the service was less than bad it was TERRIBLE! Our waitress ((LORI)) who used to make 6 figures but left her job to waitress and pursue her doctorate degree cussed every 5 seconds, I was very offended by the amount of times she used the F WORD. She begged us to put our bill on 1 tab, it got sort of uncomfortable the way she repeatedly asked as if it was that big of a deal (5 people) The birthday girl left the table to go to the restroom and the waitress approached us to say that 2 of her drinks had not been paid for as if that is any of my business. I did enjoy my fish tacos and steak bites. But due to the lack of an excellent experience I will not return, thankfully I have experienced superb service when I visit Uptown Grill which is just 6 minutes up the road, check it out!!

This restaurant has sooo much potential because it has a great view of Walled Lake but that's about it.. Service was absolutely terrible from the hostess stand to our server!!!! We asked to sit outside and got a drink at the bar while we waited. Bar wasn't any better, not friendly at all and rushed us to order a beverage. Hostess completely forgot about us and seated a party ahead of us that walked in 10-15 min after us at the seat we wanted.. We approached them about it and they were very rude and acted as though it was an inconvenience to them. Waiter was not very friendly and it took them 10 minutes to even greet us to ask what we wanted to drink. They were out of almost everything and on top of that, server forgot what we had ordered and told him to forget about it since it took too long. Our server also switched our bills and gave us someone else's check after the credit card was already swiped. Scenery was beautiful other than watching the poorly dressed wait staff.. This restaurant is terribly managed if they allow their staff to walk around and serve customers as if they just rolled out of bed. Been here before when it was under better management and it is truly now a disappoint. Will never go back again!

Went here despite yelp reviews. I should have listened. View was amazing, right on the lake, nice breeze. Wait staff left a lot to be desired. We got the nachos to start. Absolutely awful but we were hungry. Chips on bottom were crumbs, see picture I posted. Also got a margarita pizza, was so so. Will be back for drinks on the deck, won't be eating food.

The place wasn't super busy and we were hungry so we gave this place a shot. We heard about our waitress' altercation with another customer for which I felt bad. However each time she returned we learned even more about her personal life and medical issues without prompting her for the information. This became a little too much. When my food arrived the order was wrong. Once the correct meal arrived, I asked the individual who delivered it for ketchup and mustard for the burger. He never came back. I finally had to search the restaurant and eventually found some myself. When we wanted to leave it was impossible to find our waitress so we waited. And we waited. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. It was a disappointing visit. The place has such a lovely view of the lake but the service and food needs work.

this was our second time lunching here. this time i brought my parents. we love the outdoor covered patio looking out to walled lake. the service was slow and it wasn't even the lunch rush. they took so long to bring out both the appetizers and main course. their potato skins and nachos are amazing-i'll give them that! they lose stars by not offering to bring ketchup and then taking their time to bring it. but worst of all they confused my mom's order and didn't offer to send it back or comp it. it was such an awkward situation! to top it off my club sandwich was as dry as can be! such a shame...

Solid bar in Walled Lake, where there aren't exactly a plethora of other options. They actually have a pretty decent craft beer list, which you wouldn't necessarily expect from the sometimes-clubby vibe, and they have frequent live music acts on the weekends. The clientele is relatively predictable for the location: a lot of 30, 40 and 50 year old white folks, but there are definitely a range of ages and backgrounds, and there seems to be a decent mingling atmosphere at the bar. And obviously, as the name of the place would suggest, there are TV The best feature of the place, though, as you might expect, is the deck overlooking the lake. It's open all year (under heated cover in the Winter), but in the Summer it's fantastic. Probably one of the best lake-front decks in the whole west side of the metro area. I've only had the food once (a burger), and I'd term it at least "serviceable" for the view.

One is for the water view which is pleasant. Ordered $2.00 tacos, could not get the order correct plus they charge extra for lettuce, salsa, onion ect ect....the bill was a foot long. Tried cheese quesadilla, burnt and flavorless. Could not lean back in our chairs on the deck, as there where so many spiders, they at least seem to like the place. Waitress was terrible took over an hour to get very bad food.

I had a baby shower there on 7/11/15 . I must say it was not a pleasant experience. First I had a had time setting up the menu . I was told to Email the head chief to make plans. Very slow and vague responses. Two weeks prior to the shower I still was not satisfied that the menu was in order so I went in and sat down with the manager and set menu and express my dissatisfaction with lack of communication. The purpose of going to a restaurant was so no one had to stress. I did not receive the the quote till 5 pm on Thursday July 9th with full payment due the day before my event. I went into the restaurant the next morning with my outrageous bill to pay because of course at this point to late to do anything. I made it a point to talk to the manager to express how dissatisfied I was with the whole process. He was very sorry and took my name and number and was going to talk to the owner. Saturday morning the room was not ready. Food slow in being served. Server for got to bring out sides until I asked where they were. My guests were not aware of all the problems and said the shower was lovely . They loved the lake and veiw. Little did they know Pattie Dluzynski P.s. never call from owner

First time at the bayside on 7/25. Great Location for outdoor dining in walled lake. Met up with a few friends for lunch and we sat on the patio. Service was good. Drinks were cold, Food was hot. We ordered some burgers, quesadillas, and salads. All meals came out fairly quick and everything tasted great. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the outdoor dining

Probably some of the worst service I've ever had. We had a party of 5, and the hostess wanted to seat us at one regular table. When we mentioned that we didn't want to be smushed together, the hostess looked at us and said "are you serious?" like we were putting her out. It took 20 minutes to get 4 iced teas and a kids drink, and our server was extremely unfriendly. Once i talked to the manager, service was improved because our server was changed out for someone who actually wanted to work. Overall the staff seemed more interested in talking with each other than actually serving the patrons, and the food was basic/almost mediocre. I can deal with poor service if the food is good, but the food here wasn't worth the lack of service. I highly doubt we'll be back.

We met up with a group of friends for dinner and a few drinks. They had a room reserved, and since I got there after 9p they still charged me cover. I was in a separate room from the band and we had the doors closed. I couldn't believe they asked me to pay cover! 5 bucks and the place wasn't anywhere near full? Just ridiculous. Aside from that our "private room" wasn't private at all. They had some sort of storage room in there so they kept coming in and leaving the door open so the bad band music was blaring over our conversation. I wouldn't recommend this place. And the staff? You would think they were at social hour rather than at their job.

I used to love this place. The view is incredible and food is decent. As this place is so close to home, I used to go frequently, but lately the service is so poor that I haven't been back in quite some time. This could become my favorite place again if they got the wait staff under control.

The fact that you can sit outside and view the lake is why I gave 3 stars. They recently changed the menu and I have to say that I was happy when I first heard they were going to make the menu smaller but once I went back after the change I found they removed all the items that I ever ate (there was very many good dishes to begin with). I haven't returned since, disappointed because I often had work functions here and it was a normal "thirsty Thursday" spot prior to the change.

Possibly a 4 star, nothing to complain about. French dip was excellent au ju was very good but a little salty still very good the sliced meat was very good slightly seared but very tender .... And I got the chips instead of steak fries and they were crispy basically kettle chips. And Bloody Mary's were pretty damn good also. Sun. Afternoon was a pretty good time they weren't to busy

To start- the view and location is great - even on a cloudy or rainy day, lunch on the patio is great - - however; the food not so breathtaking. Sandwiches on week old onion rolls and fries that were dumped in the deep fryer at least that far back - if not longer is unacceptable. Again, the location is great, service is average (for a bar), but the food is drive-thru quality at best.

My son said it best, "This place needs a Gordon Ramsey makeover." Amen. There are way too many menu options, none of which seem particularly well done. I ordered blackened fish tacos. The corn tortillas seemed to have been microwaved. They were dry and lifeless. The place needs a renovation badly; a faint musty smell hangs in the air near the kitchen and stage. With the exception of the outdoor seating area overlooking the lake and indoor tables near the bar, there were surprisingly few people for a Friday night in late spring. I remember when this place was Key Largo and how much better it used to be. Those days are long gone.

Went in with my family. There were 7 of us. Sat in a booth. They were fairly busy. The patio was full. Sat there for 15 minutes while 2 servers walked past our table at least 5 times and not once stopped. We were never greeted by a server. I was being very patient as I like to give everyone a chance. But after 15 minutes of being ignored, we got up and left. No one noticed or cared. I can't believe the servers walking past us did not bother to ask us or alert someone to the fact that we needed a server. Terrible!

My friends and I went here last week for my birthday and we were sorely disappointed. From what we've heard, it is under new ownership. If that's the case, these new owners need to step it up or sell it again. My fiancé and I came to Bayside many times last summer and loved everything about it - especially the menu! The menu is completely different this year and is filled with crappy food for too much money. The setting is now the only good thing about this restaurant. I think the new owners bank on the fact that people will come because of the lake view so they don't bother putting any effort into their food. I'm typically not so critical but this is so disappointing. Bayside has the potential to be an amazing addition to the Walled Lake community but the current situation is a sad story.

This place has a great view of the water and a variety of seating- bar, patio, and indoors. The pizza and sandwiches are good and you can find something for everyone on the menu. They have a nice selection of beer, wine, and alcohol. They do get busy in the summer and you'll need to have a little patience, but it's worth it for the cool breeze off the water on a hot summer day.

    (4)
  • Matt N.

Let's just say I don't go there for the food. Sitting lake side on the patio is the only thing this place has going for it. We tried the new menu and I can only describe it as mediocre and bland. The calamari was fried to a crisp, the fajita tortillas were soggy, the salad was a joke, the chicken marsala tasted like it was straight from Gordon food service. Even the rice was bland, how do you screw up rice? Go there for the view and beer, eat before hand.

It could be so much more. Ambience 3.5: It's located on walled lake, so inherently it has a great view and outside eating area. Outside of that, the decorating is pretty so so. Food/Drinks 1.5: The food is average at best. I don't think I've ever had something that is exceptional or I would suggest to someone. I went there yesterday to enjoy a beautiful day outside and a drink, and I tried to order a mojito which they didn't have ingredients to make it. They also don't even have a drink menu. I couldn't even get a single tropical drink to enjoy by the water. Service 3: The service isn't too bad but nothing to write home about. Overall 2.49: It's still a great place to go in the summertime strictly for the atmosphere. It gets pretty busy on Thursdays and the weekends.

This place is terribly mismanaged and the food isn't good. Our food was cold, my burger was overcooked, and there was nothing I could do about it because the waitress checked in us ZERO times after bringing out our food. We waited over 45 minutes until I complained to the manager who replied "I know the service sucks, that's why i shut my door" Don't bother with this place. It is such a wonderful location, the best thing that could happen is that it will close, and open under new management that actually Cares about quality food and service.

I've been coming here for years but this place has GONE DOWN HILL since new management! I will never come here again. From the horror stories about the food (my fiancé and I also dealt with issues first hand) to the terrible wait staff! super friendly but inconsistent and slow (The last time we were here we had 5 diff waitresses and it was a slow Monday night). The bar staff is the worst. It shouldn't take more than 5 mins to get a drink at the bar and we are always waiting AT LEAST 10. Completely disappointed...and never eating a chicken queso wrap ever again! :'(

Decent food and ok atmosphere. They have nice outdoor seating. The service however is horrendous. The wait staff act like they hate their jobs. Our waiter literally rolled his eyes when he asked if someone had been over to check on us, which no one had so he had to be our server. If you are just coming to drink the place is ok but I really wouldn't recommend dining in.

What a change compared to previous visits. It used to smell like stale beer, service was nearly non-existent. The pizza was always good and that alone kept me coming back. We paid a visit on Saturday night around 10 to catch the band and a pizza. Everything was improved. Pizza was still great and at a very reasonable price. The place no longer smelled like stale beer. Our waitress, Tiffany, was awesome. Greeted us moments after we were seated. Drinks were on the table in a heartbeat. Food was served very promptly after we ordered and all the condiments we requested arrived before the pizza. Wow! The quality of the band was even improved , Remedy was the band in the night of our visit. Great sound, great talent! Just as I was thinking I was dreaming and I wasn't really at the Bayside, the manager stopped by and introduced himself. Kurt ( the mgr.) stopped by our table and introduced himself. He told us they were re-working the entire atmosphere and delivery . The effort shows. We will be back because they now offer a quality dining and entertainment experience in a casual atmosphere. Keep it up Bayside. The crowds will come.

Sub par food that is overpriced. Went here for lunch with my two sons and mother in law. The deck was nice and so was the water. Other than that, there is no reason to come here. The sliders have a picture on menu which showed bacon. Didn't come with bacon and they forgot to put it on the sliders when we specifically asked for it. The sliders had no taste to them. Kinda reminded me of rocks. The entree salad was not good and the strip steak was horrible. Very fatty and difficult to cut. It was $25 and I should have known better than to order a steak at a place like this. The fajatas were ok but the rice was ice cold. Service was bad and items came out at different times. It wasn't that crowded but for some reason we had to wait a long time for food. The servers were all at the bar, talking to one another. About 6 of them in a group. I used to waitress and this would never be tolerated at any restaurant I worked at. I would not recommend this place for food or service. Maybe drinks on the dock but that's it. Very disappointed

Ok, everything on the menu is phenomenal, and so is the beer/wine selection, and so is spring/summer sitting out on the patio but the service is SERIOUSLY awful. Only go there if you have 2 hours to spare.

Food was very disappointing, venue was great. Server was attentive and helpful. It would be great place if food was better. Beer list was decent, food was dry and tasteless. I would recommend going there for drinks at sunset. That would be a 4+ star place. Food alone is a 2*

A beautiful venue with some OK live music. I try to be a sensible patron to any establishment - I try to be a good tipper because honestly wait staff largely bust their butts. On Friday this joint set the bar real low for the future. After arriving to a mostly empty bar/restaurant at about 9:30 we met up with friends and waited a few moments to place a drink order - no problem - our server was new so understandably a little overwhelmed and getting the hang of things - again I have no issue with this. After a couple shots due to projecting a Rangers OT goal we were informed that we were flipping over to server #2 and cashed out. Still no worries, however.... in the next 60 minutes we got the chance to order 1 drink - only half of us even got to do this because after that.... we didn't even see our server - except when she was chilling out with other staff. Over this course in time there were shots ordered and ignored within 5 minutes - there were hungry members of our party, there were other parties that went completely un served. I'd say it was laughable - but the reality is it was just embarrassingly bad. Eventually one of our group - who has been a server in the past sought out the only member of the staff showing any semblance of giving a F - the bouncer. This gentleman was the highlight of the night, found the manager and had him address the scenario. By this point we really weren't in the mood to continue the evening here so we cashed out - because obviously any semblance of trying to make it right would only apply to additional ordering. All told - I would comment on the food, but it was never even given as an option. Therefore I have to consider Taco Bell or Burger King a superior choice - at least you'll see a menu. I would comment on the drinks but that option was highly restricted due to the biggest glaring issue - a historically awful team of servers. The low point was when the member of our party who with experience as a server in a similar type of establishment said thank you and the server rolled her eyes at her - honestly I get that its a thankless job and there are bad customers who do inappropriate things, tip poorly and generally act like fools, but if the staff here doesn't want to work in the food service industry - they really should quit and seek alternative opportunities - it isn't for everyone. Check other reviews as well - its apparent that this is a relatively decent establishment that has, unfortunately, a large component of do not give a f employees. That historically to me indicates failure at the manger level and beyond. I feel for the staff here because they're forfeited a nice little $60-$70 tab tonight for no good reason. Heck - shots for the Tiger's win would have been $32+$8 for tip and that doesn't even touch the intended food order. I wouldn't take a date, spouse, mom, dad, cousin, friend, out of town guest, beer snob, or enemy to this place as it stands now. Don't waste your time. You can find comparable food within 5 miles without having to deal with a staff that clearly and outwardly doesn't want your business.

This is a tough one. I really struggled between 2 & 3 stars; however my service was atrocious during this last visit, so 2 it is. Other than the view, there is nothing spectacular about the place. The service ranges from average to poor & the food is the same. I will say the spinach artichoke dip is better than it looks...it's actually pretty good, and as I was walking out I saw a sign for $5 voodoo buckets. I've only drank those in the USVI. I will definitely try one next time I'm here. With all of that being said, I frequent this place more than any other in the summer. Why? Because it's on Walled Lake. With all of the lakes around here, there still aren't a lot of establishments on the water. If you're going to enjoy the view, go for it, but if you're not sitting outside, there are much better places to go in the area.

Terrible!

Fine.

Bad food, bad service. Great beer selection, decent TV's, on the lake. I'm giving it 2 stars because its the only place on the lake to get food.

Great pizza and wings - cheap. Good atmosphere. Varied menu, from sandwiches to upscale meals. Excellent view of Walled Lake. Highly recommended.
